Welcome to the first interest check for COLLECTED!



We’re so excited to share what’s in store with you! (Pun intended.) Here are some quick links to get you started: FAQ, PREMISE, LOCATIONS. The TDM is tentatively set for June 12th, with Reserves opening on June 15th, and applications opening on June 19th. These dates are subject to change! But we’ll keep you updated via our game plurk, collectedrpg.

In a nutshell, Collected is a game about survival, the post-apocalypse, mystery, and the supernatural. This is a horror game that will force characters to survive in an abandoned mall left behind in a world wrecked by environmental decay. There’ll be eerie happenings left and right that seem almost like they’re meant to make them suffer… especially now that their wounds mysteriously heal on their own. It’s up to the characters themselves to find out what’s the deal with this creepy mall, and whatever happened to all the people who used to come here.

character/canon: I haven’t settled on any one character in particular (because really i’m just excited to be able to mess around in a setting like this aaa), but at the moment I’m tossing up between:

• Luxanna (or just “Lux” to everyone but her uptight, stick-in-the-mud brother and aunt) Crownguard from League of Legends
• Historia Reiss from Attack on Titan

a little bit about them: sorry i realize this is supposed to be a little bit but this turned into a big bit

• Lux is the wayward daughter and youngest child of the prestigious Crownguard family, who’ve dedicated themselves to serving Demacian kings since, like, forever. Her grandfather is famous for saving the then-king’s life at the Battle of Storm’s Fang, her aunt became the leader of the elite Dauntless Vanguard unit before Lux even knew how to crawl, her older brother is one of the coolest soldiers this side of High Silvermere… you get the picture.
  
  But you see, Lux has this teensy, tiny little problem: she’s a mage. In Demacia, mages are Bad. Kingdom folktales tell of pure hearts tainted by magic and how it’s the worst thing since pineapple on pizza. To keep from sullying her family’s name (or, you know, just being discovered, imprisoned, and then probably killed), she has to hide her power between playing the good girl, appeasing her parents, and working as a member of a religious order dedicated to helping the sick, poor, and less fortunate. (spoilers: she sucks at keeping secrets and ends up accidentally inspiring a civil war instead but that! is not! important!!!)
• Historia, on the other hand, is the illegitimate daughter of the Reiss family head. She grew up alone and in secret on a farm hidden somewhere inside Paradis’s innermost walls. After the fall of Wall Maria, though, her father forces her to piss off, renounce her name, and take on a new identity.
  
  She goes on to live as Krista, known fondly as the “Goddess” of the 104th Training Corps for her self-sacrificing kindness, until her not-girlfriend tells her the goody-two-shoes act is stupid and that she should live for herself. So she does—by doing away with the name “Krista,” killing her dad, delivering Humanity’s Grouchiest a mean right hook, and becoming Queen of the Walls. She’s still trying to negotiate what it means to be Historia and not Krista, but everyone agrees that the new, honest (if a bit blunt) her is better.

a little bit about them: musically trained, devastatingly charming, and a mage to boot. let her put you under her spell~ she will flirt with you and hate herself but it's ok she's strong enough to pull through !!! just all around a big old sweetheart with a penchant for teasing.

a little bit about them:

joseph is a bona fide himbo crunchwrap supreme. hes 80% idiot, 20% mad genius but only under very specific circumstances. he can melt vampires and undead with his zappy sun hands. he can technically pilot propeller airplanes but you should never let him take the wheel. very friendly and will flirt with basically anyone, including his mom.

guts berserk is a really dour and feral man from fantasy medieval europe. he vociferously kills demons with his big fucking sword. he is used to eating a diet of snakes and rats in the woods. he will very begrudgingly make friends, but only if he has to. his left arm got eaten by demons so he replaced it with a cannon.

a little bit about them: Entrapta is a mad scientist princess who is horny for robots, great at tech, not great at people but trying to be better!! she has prehensile hair

Goro Akechi is a lil fuckin bitch and that's all i'm sayin

Toph Beifong is a blind 12 y/o extreme badass who is a punk, knows manners and chooses not to use them

Haru Okumura is a demure and polite sweetheart who moonlights as Chat Noir from Ladybug, suffers from a severe lack of screentime, and can & will kick your ass

☼ aang is a (1)12 year old boy who just wants to have a good time with his friends but instead has been charged with the monumental task of mastering all four elements within the year and saving the entire world. tragically does not come with sky bison or flying lemur companion but will happily show you a rad as heck marble trick if you ask (and tbh even if you don't ask).
☼ annette is a tiny girl with a big heart (and a bigger ability to get into accidents wherever she goes). she is outgoing, friendly, and also highly skilled in magic. please don't get on her bad side unless you want to be blown into a thousand bits. enjoys sweets, coming up with absurd little songs to sing while she works, and (failing at) cooking.

a little bit about them:

azula is a princess of the fire nation (and the on again, off again heir to the throne, family's complicated that way). her special skills include being utterly terrifying, firebending, and having a full mental breakdown at the age of 14 because her dad never loved her. she could use a bit of socialising. maybe a friendship. maybe someone who explains to her what a mall even is.



melisandre is a ??? years old eldritch priestess of the red god r'hllor. she, too, does freaky things with fire, but none of them as freaky as what she does with shadows. believes she can stop the apocalypse with a lot of faith and a little bit of seed. she sometimes predicts the future, and that usually makes things worse.

Shinji: depressed loser who decided to die rather than try hard. Can shoot himself to summon a big pogohorse. Kind of fatalistic because fuck it.

Ignis: Part battle-butler, part babysitter, part I WILL FIGHT GODS AND TIME ITSELF TO SAVE MY KING!!!! A very Intense gentleman. Talks too much.

etc.: look i'm just here to have a good time. Kind of leaning towards Ignis because i'd love to see him be a ruthless bitch if it comes down to it because LET MY BOY BE COOL AND MORE THAN JUST A MOM.....

I'd probably pull him from the Ep: Ignis DLC because his socks are already soaked from falling into the ocean 5 million times, so coming to in grody water IS JUST PAR FOR THE COURSE..... considering taking him from after Ardyn kicks his ass, either in the first ending or the second, lol. Either way he'd have his sweet grappling hook made out of the arm of a robot-clone-man, weapons, and probably the fucking ring of the lucii.

a little bit about them: It's him! The "feeling it" guy! He's an earnest young engineer deeply fascinated by technology and is always open to making friends, even if he's a bit awkward. Soft spoken and has abs you could grate cheese on. Other nerds hate him! Try his approach to getting ripped! [embroils everyone into a cycle of war between titans]
etc.: Playing Shulk was my first ever rp game experience and funnily enough that first run was a horror game too! I'm here because I miss it and him!!

THAT SAID, I'm also considering Melia Antiqua of the same canon and distantly thinking about Aqua / Kingdom Hearts.

Melia is a friend of Shulk's and an empress! Her life is a horror unto itself LMAO. Melia is unfailingly devoted to her duties as a leader and tends to be a tad stiff as a result, but she's very intelligent and compassionate at heart. Having friends has helped her loosen up a lot. She's of a race referred to as the High Entia, but the wings on her head are accessories. Thus she cannot fly and thank goodness for that. They look ridiculous when they fly. God.

Aqua is a cool Keyblade Master and doesn't afraid of anything (except failure). Will fight you in a Denny's parking lot but is otherwise polite and a model of virtue!! Or would like to be, anyway. A case study in the dangers of black and white thinking.

character/canon: 90% set on Katsuki Bakugou from My Hero Academia, but the other 10% is Ruby Rose from RWBY or Catra from She-ra.
a little bit about them:

Katsuki: He's a superhero in training with the quirk "Explosion" - he secretes nitroglycerin-like sweat from his hands, and he can make it explode at will. Fittingly for such a quirk, his temper is explosive. Dedicated, driven, intelligent, and melodramatic as hell.

Ruby: Ruby is cheerful, easygoing, and kind of socially awkward at times. She's very into weapons, and she's always wanted to be a Huntress. Her semblance (superpower) allows her to utilize superspeed via turning into a burst of roses on occasion - and then there are her silver eyes, which can wreak havoc on canon monsters.

Catra: the only one I haven't played and am voice testing, but she's DRAMATIC and RIDICULOUS and I love her.

a little bit about them: rei has the dubious honor of being the only 19 year old in tokyo that doesn't know how to text, because he thought it'd be fun to larp being a tired old man one day and then the larp became reality. idol with an edgy vibe and an anime disease that gives all the symptoms of being a vampire without actually being one. will be extremely disappointed that there are no airconditioned coffins to sleep in. life is hard.

Considering a few...

character/canon: Ranmaru Rindou/Binbougami Ga! This girl right here!
a little bit about them: Ranmaru is your typical shounen delinquent girl who picks fights with authority and and has no volume control. She is, however, also the best friend you could ever hope to make. Strong sense of justice, kiiind of the moral center for her protagonist so most of the time you can actually rely on her for advice on what's the right thing to do? Also from a gag manga, which is why despite being extraordinarily superhuman physically her only explanation is she never skips leg day.

character/canon: Zero/Megaman series! Specifically from the X series, not the Zero one.
a little bit about them: Zero is the result of a lifelong desire by a crazy old scientist to outdo his rival by creating the ultimate fighting robot. Unfortunately the OS update took so long that said old man died, so Zero woke up in the future, killed a bunch of people, got knocked out, woke up an amnesiac and became a maverick hunter. He kind of struggles with how to approach things morally, so he relies on other people to guide him, but the trade off is he's the (maybe) ultimate fighting robot so if you earn his trust you can aim him at problems and just erase them with a laser sword.

character/canon: Dr Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik/sonic the hedgehog
a little bit about them: I'll put a big disclaimer here and say he's the most tentative.......he'd likely be a later app after either Ran or Zero, but I do want to try him on the TDM.

ANYWAY. HE'S PLOTTING HIS SCHEMES, WHEREVER HE GOES, HE'S PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. Eggman's an evil genius scientist trying to take over the world. He's also inconsistently awful; sometimes he's kind of twirling his mustache and laughing evily like a saturday morning cartoon villain and other times he's got no qualms dropping the sun on planet earth or erasing time and space just to beat some woodland critters. Even his past self (although i guess it's an AU now thanks sega) was like "wow i really lose it in the future" after the second one's proposed. I always like the idea of him in a game setting cause his ability to use science to get things done is borderline ridiculous but he's otherwise a totally normal human, so it'd be interesting...........

a little bit about them: he is a very soft goth half-vampire boy!! but he refuses to drink human blood, and he's also a vampire hunter because he's just like that. he has a bit of daddy issues. there is a talking parasite in his left hand. he's also 10k years old, so he's from the far future despite the setting looking like a weird victorian old american west. and the novels talk about how beautiful he is every other paragraph.
