Characters will be waking up in the murky, nasty waters of the mall on June 30th, at 6:00PM PST, which is when our very first Intro Log will go up. For now, this is your OOC Intro Post, so feel free to post with code below and meet and greet your fellow players!

P.S.: As a note, on the intro log, Characters’ inventories will be scattered throughout the mall and NOT on their person when they actually arrive in the water. Because of that, feel free to use this post to plot out if you’d like other characters to come across your belongings first!

interests/etc: I don't plurk too often about much more than RP, but I play a lot of video games! FFXIV has been a mainstay; I'm a pretty avid raider, though I'm about to take a break from that. In addition to playing a bunch of normal games, I play dumb mobages... GBF, Arknights. I'm an artist! I'm hoping to draw some stuff for Harrow, since ... playing book characters ...

about them: She's awful and I love her.

Harrow is an acerbic, dire little bone witch from a series about necromancer lesbians in space! She's extremely goth. Being goth is pretty much her religion, and she's very devout. She's the deuteragonist of the first book (which is her canonpoint) and the protagonist of the second book, which is coming out in early August (though the first act is available for free as an ebook currently, so I use some content from that as well, as it sheds some light on her perspective of the first book). She is a prodigious bone adept, meaning that she can do some pretty incredible things with bones, like raise an entire skeletal construct from something as small as a knucklebone! Sadly, her resources are going to be very limited here, especially for someone who was basically raised in an ossuary. So she's going to be slightly manic about that. Anyways, she's probably going to be super easy to get negative CR with, because trying to get her to trust and/or work with someone else who isn't a very specific singular (1) person is like pulling teeth. But if you work through that, she can be useful to have around! She's pretty good at staying alive, seeing as though she's already just come from a situation vaguely similar to this.

I almost don't want to go too far into her whole Thing because my innermost desire is to make as many people read this series as I can, and it's all very spoilers. But, as a lightning round summary: Harrow is a very stringent and driven person, and somewhere, buried deep beneath about three hundred layers of bone jewelry, face paint, barbed sleights, and careful conniving, there is ... a disaster lesbian with poor social adjustment who is in love with a corpse that's been asleep for ten thousand years. Harrow... putting the "romance" in "necromancer." (:
etc: If you find pretty much any of her items, she will be very forceful in getting them back. This goes double for her journal (mostly written in code, though you can find a few maps/floorplans in the pages), her face paints, and the two (2) human bones which will be somewhere around the building.

Also, nothing I can say can explain Harrow better than this one excerpt from the first book:

honestly??? she's most fun when around normies. it is hilarious!! one of my fav things about the first book is you figure all necromancers are as goth as the ninth house on account of what they are, then you meet them and a lot of them are pretty normal? so it's like, nope! the ninth are just really like that

but yes, she will be tracking down the bones jealously, so if she finds constantin has found one before her ... she will be very polite in asking to have it from him (she won't be polite at all)

a whole goth house... peak. 10/10. love it. one time connie almost turned into a human tree but he's never met a goth in his life? amazing.

he will politely ask her 500 questions about Spare Human Bone, get ready!!!

yes, i am truly not kidding when i say that being goth is basically a religious practice. harrow was super overbearing that gideon not only wear her face-paint, but that she wear it properly, thank-you

she hates questions. be prepared to suffer answers like she is speaking to a very slow-witted five-year-old child

UGH i was gonna say "mood" but harrow is actually like... ridiculously devout. she meets God at the very end of the first book? God is incredibly normcore. he wears frumpy sweaters and pokes away at an ipad all day

but God in her series is just the original necromancer who resurrected all of the nine planets ten thousand years ago it's also a whole Thing, so not the same guy? thats for the best

god is, not shockingly, a big tree in connie's canon, so at least he's aesthetically consistent

that said i'm in love with the concept of frumpy ipad god? does god play gacha games? peak

honestly i joked with my roommate that he was on twitter all the time BUT god playing gacha games is way better, this is my new headcanon now thank you.

true ... that's more her erstwhile cavalier's brand. harrow is more the brand to threaten to fuse your mandible to your skull if you're bothering her too much. but usually her bark IS worse than her bite, esp since she has SUPER LIMITED necromancy materials now

tho tbh i'm interested to see how long she can keep up her nastiness going bc at the end of the day harrow is a disaster lesbian and cute girl is a powerful, erosive force /:
